How to find The Dining Room Shop

LOCATION
White Hart Lane is south of the River Thames in Barnes, London SW 13, half-way between Chiswick and Hammersmith bridges. There are two cheerful restaurants to enjoy in the street - Annie's or the Tree House. Or there is the popular White Hart Pub by the river Thames at the bottom of the road.

By Bus:
Catch the number 209 bus from Hammersmith to Mortlake. The bus station is above the Piccadilly Line tube station.

The ride is about 8 minutes. Ask the driver for the White Hart Lane request stop. The shop is about one minute`s walk from the bus stop. By Tube: Hammersmith is the nearest tube - use the Piccadilly, District or Metropolitan and Circle Lines. Then catch the 209 bus to Barnes, following the bus instructions above.

By Car:
Parking is FREE - either outside the shop or in one of the small nearby side streets.

Via Chiswick Bridge. Drive South over Chiswick Bridge from the Hogarth Roundabout (on the Cromwell Road extension to London airport. At the first traffic lights, take the left filter - signposted Barnes and Mortlake. Left at the first mini-roundabout Right at the second mini-roundabout - this is White Hart Lane. Journey time from Hogarth Roundabout 3 to 5 mins.

Via Hammersmith Bridge. Drive South over the Bridge. At the first traffic lights turn right down Lonsdale Road. Go straight on under Barnes Bridge. Beyond, beside the White Hart Pub at the mini-roundabout, turn left into White Hart Lane.

Via Putney Bridge. Drive South over Putney Bridge, keeping on the right hand lane. On the South side of the bridge, turn right. At Putney Hospital, fork right - signposted Barnes and Mortlake. Continue over Putney and Barnes Common, following the signs to Barnes and Mortlake. Left at Barnes Pond Left at the mini-roundabout when the High Street meets the River Thames. At the White Hart Pub, turn left at the mini-roundabout. Journey time 8 - 10 minutes.

Via the South Circular Going West - Landmark is the big traffic light at the bottom of Roehampton Hill. Following the main road go through the next traffic light, leaving the Rosslyn Rugby Club on the left. Just beyond on the right is a block of flats with a pedestrian crossing. Turn right after the crossing, down Priests Bridge leading to White Hart Lane. Drive over the level crossing and the shop is just beyond on the left. Journey time from the Roehampton Hill lights - from 2 minutes, depending on whether the level crossing is open or shut.

By Suburban Line Train
Take a Barnes Bridge train from Waterloo (20 mins) - a half-hourly service. Walk towards the White Hart Pub, leaving the river on your right. Turn left at the mini-roundabout by the pub. The shop is half a minute up the road on the right before the level crossing. Walking time from Barnes Bridge - 3 - 4 minutes.
