The Dining Room Shop is in Barnes, a beautiful “village” by the Thames
in South West London. The shop, the first of its kind, was founded by
Kate Dyson in l985.
Kate had been a leading antiques journalist for many years. She was one
of the original team who started “The World of Interiors” magazine,
where she was deputy and antiques editor for 6 years.
With four young children, she wanted to work nearer home. So she decided
to open her own specialist shop, which concentrated on her two fields of
interest – antiques and the history of food. |
